War of the Chines,

No not Chinese, Chines... they are fashionable now, and will not slow you down if done properly. It can even give you more righting moment, means more power. In reaching. Disadvantages can be upwind, if my thinking is right.

We have now two new protos out, a Manuard and a Lombard.
Here the look from behind. Note that the top one is Manuard, and the bottom Lombard.
The Lombard, who has designed two Open 60´s with chines, looks like an evolvement from the previous designs of this bureau. The Manuard is different from their pedigree, aft sections not as beamy on the waterline.

They look almost like copies.
